Here's what REAL "locker room talk" really is!

With all the fuzz surrounding locker room talk lately, I decided to share something with you that I think might actually be locker room talk. And trust me, it has nothing to do with bragging about sexual assault.
When guys get together in locker rooms, what do they talk about? Do they talk about forcing themselves onto women and grabbing their pussies?
Nope.
Nobody with an ounce of self-respect or sense of shame would ever say something like that. Locker room talk is supposed to be lighthearted, fun, and interesting. Current events, trends, politics, sports. Topics such as these are what locker room talk really is.
In my opinion, the best example of what locker room talk is would be what we're served by the two guys hosting the Jalen & Jacoby Show, through ESPN Radio. Jalen Rose and David Jacoby are the ones I'm talking about. They used to do their podcast under the Grantland umbrella, before that umbrella was shut. But since their podcast was such a hit, they were brought under the ESPN plastic poncho.
While Jalen Rose is a former NBA basketball player, the podcast is not only about basketball. It's about sport and pop culture in general. Some times they will talk about hip hop music, while other times they will talk about movies.
And that's exactly what locker room talk is. Even though you might be a football player, there's no way that the only thing you'll talk about is football. Some days you might wanna talk abobut what happened in another sport, or in a completely different walk of life.
What makes the Jalen and Jacoby Show especially good, in my opinion, is the fact that Mr. Rose used to be a professional athlete, and with that comes a lot of baggage. He is able to bring the average listener behind the scenes of what it means to be a sports star. The lifestyle, and the crazy stories that comes with it. While their general conversations are entertaining, the personal relationship Mr. Rose has with many other athletes, as well as his own experiences, is what makes this show something everybody should check out.
If you're tired of hearing about what some American politicians falsely describe as “locker room talk”, and want to know what it actually sounds like, then the Jalen and Jacoby Show is exactly what you, the people, want.
Check it out. You'll be glad you did.
