Undecided Election 2016

There's action going on in the United States of America right now. Everybody is talking about it, and it seems like no matter where you are on this planet, there's no getting away from it. It can seem difficult to make up your mind with all the different opinions flying around. The debates are heated, and so are the reactions. But I am willing to tell you what I think about it all: There is no way that LeBron James will ever surpass Michael Jordan as the greatest basketball player of all time.
Oh, yeah. I guess there's a presidential election this year as well.
Let me shift over to the election for a second. It's a circus. It's as simple as that. Somehow, a reality TV star has become the nominee of one of the major parties. Somehow, a man who brags about sexual assault is the nominee of the conservative party. And somehow, people are saying that choosing between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is like trying to figure out if you want cancer or HIV.
To those who still think that way, let me tell you a little secret: NO IT'S NOT!
Let me try to explain why.

Donald Trump was one of the main contributors to the racist birther movement against President Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton was not.
Donald Trump is the one who constantly makes racist statements about blacks and other people who aren't white. Hillary Clinton does not.
Donald Trump is the one who has shown a pattern of degrading women for decades. Hillary Clinton has not.
Donald Trump is the one who has a tape of himself where he brags about sexual assault. Hillary Clinton does not.
Donald Trump is the one who keeps disrespecting every single member of the Islamic faith. Hillary Clinton does not.
Donald Trump is the one who incites violence at his rallies. Hillary Clinton does not.
And these are just the things I can remember off the top of my head.
But there are still people who say that Trump is behaving that way because he's not a lifelong politician. That he is a “straight shooter,” who “says it like it is.” Except, he doesn't. In fact, a statement he makes is most likely, according to Politifact, a lie. But there will still be people who say that “they are both dishonest.” Some people will point to Clinton's email scandal, or issues surrounding the Clinton Foundation.
But again, like John Oliver explains, while those things are annoying, they are actually not as bad as they look. Which is not something you can say about the Trump scandals. They are at least as bad as they look, and they might even be worse.
It is baffling to see the abuse and baseless accusations that are being thrown Hillary Clinton's way. She does not deserve it. Fine, she may not be the greatest orator to every exist, but the mastery of public speaking isn't a requirement for being president.
Clinton is highly qualified, having spent decades trying to improve the lives of all Americans. The only life Trump has tried to improve is his own.
It is time to stop talking about nonsense such as both candidates are equally bad. They're not. They just aren't. No false equivalency will ever change that.

Now, there are some people who have decided that they will vote for Trump, no matter what. There's nothing I can do for them except helping them find the fastest way to a mental institution. But I am writing to those who somehow still haven't decided on who to vote for. To them I would like to say this:
Are you serious? Are you trying to be funny? Are you trying to be cool?
How is it even possible to not have made up your mind? The campaigns have been going on for eternities. If you're still undecided then you're either living under a rock, or you're having trouble absorbing information. I don't know which is better.
There's nothing cool or funny about not knowing who to vote for by now. This should be an easy decision if you have a functioning brain. I just hope there are enough of those in America. Trump is a joke. A really, really bad joke. If he's elected, the joke will most likely turn into a dangerous reality.
A man who looks at a tweet as bulls look at red pieces of cloth, is not a man who should have access to the nuclear codes. A man who threatens to throw political opponents into jail is not someone who should be the head of a nation. Especially not the most powerful nation on earth.
But, yeah... LeBron James is still a really good player.
